DAY 26-AT SEA

Our position at noon today.  It was 77 degrees with a 30 knot wind out of the northwest (tail wind). Wave height of 10 feet causing the ship to do some rocking and rolling.  At noon the Captain said the ocean should start to calm down after midnight.

       Departed Hilo at 6:00 pm yesterday and we have had another rough ride ever since.  Getting tired of this and ready for some smooth sailing.  So glad our suite is on a low deck as the ride down here is much better at least.
       The comedian last night was ok but not best we've seen.  Tonight's headliner showtime features Mark Newsome, a singer/comedian.
       Health update:  Rebecca seems to be a little better with her stopped up head.  She is still using nose spray at times to help breathe and wants to get off of that.  My neck is good at night while sleeping and in mornings.  As the day progresses so does the pain.  Yesterday I felt like I was coming down with a cold.  Sure enough I had drainage into throat which caused a bad sore throat during the night. I went to see the doctor about that this morning.  Sure like this doctor as she is very nice and VERY thorough.  She gave me something to help dry my up during the night.  No soreness during day as I am upright, eating, and drinking to keep throat clear.
       I went to a cooking demonstration by our Executive Chef, Michael, this morning.  He was showing us how to make fresh pasta, gnocchi, and some sauces.  He is a great teacher, as well as chef.
We are having Atkins bars for lunch since it is too rough to do our workouts today.  We brought the bars with us as knew we would have to do some dieting during the cruise.  Will be watching Fox News this afternoon to see who the Supreme Court nominee is.  Guess that is to occur at 3:00 pm our time here in the Pacific.
