This was our position at 11:00 am. We are approximately half way between San Diego and Honolulu. Unfortunately, the ship is still moving around due to the 16 foot long swells although not as bad today as it was yesterday. Still not able to use the fitness center because it would be too difficult to try and stay on a treadmill. Temperature is still a cool 64F. At noon the Captain said the sea conditions will continue to improve the further west we go. WHAT WE DID LAST NIGHT:
Donald, a head waiter whom we have know for a long time, with Susanne.
Emiliano, the head sommelier
One of the red wines they were serving in Compass Rose last night.
This is the soft shell crab. NOT the way we were wanting it so sent it back and ordered another entree. Chef Michael later came out to talk to us about it. I gave him my flash drive with a photo of crabs prepared the way we like it. He was very apologetic and promised it would be done correctly next time we ordered it.
This is the magician and his lovely assistant. Rebecca did not go to the show. I was a little disappointed in the show. He did mostly slight of hand, I think because the ship was moving about so much. Will go to his next show in a couple of days when it hopefully will be smoother.
WHAT WE DID TODAY:
The head sommilier held a wine tasting this morning in Compass Rose. I dropped in for some cheese and tasted an Argentine malbec.
This is Tom. He is 102 years old and traveling by himself. He gets around very well with his walker and has bloody mary in the morning and an afternoon cocktail. Then more during evening cocktail hour.
Yesterday the internet was very good. Today it is very slow. Must be due to the ship's location in respect to the satellite. We had lunch in Compass Rose with Susanne. Planning another relaxing afternoon. This evening is formal optional dress code for the Captain's Welcome Aboard reception and Regent is also celebrating their 25th anniversary today. Tonight's headliner show features "3 Divas". Three young ladies singing popular songs. Definitely going to this show. We turn our clocks back another hour tonight so we will then be on Hawaiian time for our Friday arrival.
