DAY 18-AT SEA

 Our position at noon today.  The Captain came further south to avoid some of the rough seas.  Temperature outside today is 63F.  Wind is out of northwest at 35 knots.  Some swells are up to 23 feet high.  He says the sea condition should start to improve around midnight.  It is a mostly sunny day at least.

       It was hard to sleep last night because of the rough ride.  At 8:30 am we are experiencing long swells of over 20 feet hitting the ship pretty much head on so ship is pitching a lot.  This is worse ride than it was yesterday.  Hopefully ride will improve later today.
       Rebecca finally went down to see the doctor this morning.  She has had stopped up nose for a week with problems breathing at night.  The doctor gave her 3 days of a antihistamine and decongestant.  Medical services for world cruise passengers is included in our fare.  I won't say "free" as I am sure it was factored into our cruise fares.  I was surprised to see that the medication was also included.  We do have travel insurance to cover us if need be.  For this cruise that insurance cost us about $9,000.  OUCH!
       I had lunch in Compass Rose again today.  Rebecca stayed in the suite and had a protein bar for her lunch.  I will not go above our deck (6) while it is so bumpy.  Compass Rose is on deck 5.  Believe me the ride is MUCH worse as you go higher.  Plan on watching a movie in our suite again this afternoon.  Not going to be moving around the ship until it stops moving about like it is.  There is a Philippino buffet up on pool deck at noon today but that is on deck 10.
       Chef Michael is preparing fried soft shell crabs as our entree for dinner in Compass Rose this evening.  He is also preparing a special salad we requested.  We did not go to the show last night but will go tonight.  Jonathan Neal & Liane are the headliner entertainers and they are a magic act.
