This is our position at noon today. Although our ride has much improved, we are still experiencing some movement of the ship due to some long swells of 10 to 13 feet. The temperature outside today is 73F with a 25 know wind. We still have 445 miles to go before reaching Honolulu tomorrow around noon.
WHAT WE DID TODAY:
The Captain informed us yesterday that due to his going further south of course to try and avoid rough seas, we would be arriving at the pier in Honolulu at 1:00 pm instead of 8:00 am. Because of this we received a revised tour schedule with 4 tours being cancelled all together. Rebecca and I did not have a tour scheduled per se because there is a special event for all world cruise passengers. I will describe that more tomorrow. Jamie told us last night that he will be bringing local Hawaiian entertainers on board to do an after dinner special show. We had been scheduled to leave Honolulu at 7:00 pm but has been changed to midnight.
We got our workouts done this morning followed by lunch in Compass Rose dining room. This afternoon we are going to an enrichment lecture on how to use our smart phones. At 6:00 pm there will be another "block party". That's where everyone brings there wine glasses into the hallways where wine and cheese is served by our stewards and we meet our neighbors.
This is my appetizer at lunch: asparagus and hearts of palm wrapped in prosciutto.
Entree was: cajun spiced tilapia with black beans. Very yummy!!
We have been invited to join Melody & David Hermann for dinner in Compass Rose to celebrate their anniversary. I believe there will be 10 of us at the table. The show tonight again features the Divas3. The first show by these three ladies was fantastic so looking forward to hearing them again.
WHAT WE DID LAST NIGHT:
Bonnie and Paul Buchanan, whom we met on our 72 day Circle South America cruise last January, had a cocktail party in their Grand Suite yesterday evening. The Grand Suite is the second largest suite on the ship. It is 539 sqft plus an additional 200 sqft balcony. To give you an comparison, most other suites, including ours, is 301 sqft with a 55 sqft balcony.
They are allowed to have an in-suite cocktail party each segment. There were two butlers on hand to serve drinks and take care of everything.
There were lots of canapes including: shrimp, crab claws, cheese, chips, hot quiches, and hot empanadas.
Jamie and Dana, our cruise directors, and Davor, the General Manager, was there, although only Jamie is in a photo.
In addition to Rebecca, Susanne, Mary, and I, invited guests were David & Lee.
After the party we all had dinner in Compass Rose. This is David, Mary, and Susanne.

This is a "Happy Happy" which I had after dinner during the show. Magician was headliner entertainer last night again. Not one of the best I have ever see.MEET THE CREW:
This is Maria and she comes from the Ukraine. Maria is one of the bartenders on board and is 27 years old and single. She has a very bubbly personality and a joy to talk to. This is only her second contract with Regent but worked at Carnival cruises for 4 years prior to coming here. She said when she goes home on vacation she just sleeps and eats for a week. Then she spends time with family and friends. She has also trained as a dancer and likes to travel.
This young man is I Ketut from Bali. A lot of Bali men have the "I" in front of their names. He is 23 years old and on his second contract with Regent. He is responsible for keeping the ship's public areas clean. Prior to being hired by Regent he worked in a resort hotel in Bali. He and his family are rice farmers so that keeps him busy when on vacations.
