DAY 2 plus Photos
It is a sunny morning today unlike yesterday. Too bad we didn't do our tour today instead of yesterday. We decided not to do a tour today. My toe seems to be improving but my arm still a problem. Just will take a few more days.
It's pretty quiet morning on the ship as most folks are off on tours. I spent most of the morning still trying to upload photos. This is getting ridiculous!! We both just finished our workouts and I am having a turkey club sandwich from room service for lunch. There is lots of crafts stalls set up on the pier right in front of our balcony. There is even a little Thai food restaurant set up under tents. I have seen several of our crew dining there. There are even some passengers having lunch there today.
We will be sailing at 4:00 pm for our next port which is Colombo, Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is an island just south of India. We will be at sea for the next two days. The first day cruising in the Andaman Sea. I hope we will continue to have smooth seas.
Tonight is the Captain's Welcome Reception so is a formal dress optional. Tux night for me! I think they are also planning a little birthday party during it for Tom Snedeker. He is 102 1/2 years old today. He celebrates every half year now also as he says, "Ya never know". He is quite a character. Sharp as a tack and gets around very well. He was on same tour we took yesterday.
We have requested the chef prepare one of our favorites, salmon with rice and spinach in puff pastry for us dinner tonight. Production show after dinner so we will not be going.
