DAY 126-LAST DAY AT SEA

This is our noon position today.  It is a sunny day with smooth sailing through the channel deep enough for our entering the port of Miami.  It's 78F outside.  The Captain said we would be docked by 4:00 am tomorrow.

WHAT WE DID TODAY:
What happened????  I thought we would have plenty of room in our 8 large suitcases but NOT!  We'll make it but no room to spare.  I can't close the last one until we get back from dinner as want to put my slacks and sports coat in it.  We are planned to be close to last disembarking as our flight out of Ft Lauderdale is not until 1:40 pm.  As Titanium members we get a private car to take us up to FLL.  I just hope everything goes off as planned.  The Port of Miami, union longshoremen, and Customs officials are notorious for taking their sweet time.
We had lunch in Compass Rose with Susanne and Bobby.  Afterwards I helped Susanne with getting her flight boarding passes printed.  Then it was time for me to check-in and prints ours.  We now have our large suitcases packed, weighed, and locks put on except for the one I will be putting my dinner clothes in later.
There is a special show and world cruise celebration this afternoon at 3:30 but we are not attending.  We have started saying our good-byes to the crew and our friends.  We'll be doing a lot of that this evening during HH and dinner.  Really kind of sad after being with them for over 4 months.

TOMORROW:
Like I said we will have a private car from the port up to the Ft Lauderdale airport.  We'll drop 4 of our bags off just outside the port terminal with Luggage Free to be shipped back to Durango.  The other 4 will be checked with American Airlines.  Since we are flying first class we are allowed 2 bags each at no additional charge.  Our flight is scheduled to depart at 1:40 pm and arrive at DFW airport at 4:00 pm.  Our friend, Jane Van Harlingen, is picking us up as we will be staying with her until Tuesday evening.
This will not be my last post.  I'll try to do another on Sunday.
