Our position at noon today. The ocean is pretty smooth today and our Captain said it should be even better tomorrow. It is partly sunny and 76F outside this afternoon. After last night's time change, we are now back on Eastern Time. When going around the world heading west, there is no jet lag when we get back home.
WHAT WE DID LAST NIGHT:
What a great time we had last night!!! Below is a photo taken last night at dinner in Compass Rose. Joining us were: Yakov Smirnoff and his friend, Catherine. Of course, Bobby Arvon is sitting next to Rebecca. Catherine is from Moscow and this is her first trip out of Russia. They boarded in Funchal and will disembark with us in Miami. She spoke pretty good English but Yakov had to translate some of what we said as we spoke too fast for her to digest. She is an architect and very attractive. It was very interesting listening to them describe what life is like in Russia now. Yakov immigrated to the US in 1977 and was a stand up comedian before moving on to tv and movies. He still owns a theater in Branson, where he performed for years, but does not perform there anymore. He now lives in Malibu, CA, and is trying to get back into tv and movies again. He was amazed when I told him what I did during my Air Force days during the Cold War with the USSR. I told him I sat alert for 7 days at a time living close to my B-52 loaded with two 5000 pound nuclear weapons and my target was downtown Moscow. He was still living in Moscow when I was doing this. I am attaching a YouTube link of one of Yakov's old routines.

After dinner we went to the production show, but sorry, we just did not care for it so left. Bobby, Rebecca, and I went to the Navigator Lounge to listen to Clive Carrington, the ship's lounge pianist, sing and play. He is very good and that small lounge is packed full every night. Clive invited Bobby to play and sing a few songs during our time there. We stayed until 11:30 when his set was over.
WHAT WE DID TODAY:
Well, today is packing day. Tonight is formal dress night so can't do all our packing until tomorrow. I am not feeling real well today. Think I am coming down with a cold. YUK! It's 3:00 pm and we still have 3 bags to pack. We may have to go buy something as I think we can get it all in 2. Won't take long to finish now so will do it tomorrow. Got hardest one done which is bag we will need in Dallas.
Tonight is the Krew Kapers (crew member's show) show at 6:00 pm. We've seen it twice so just plan to meet Bobby up in Galileo Lounge at 6:15 for a martini. Wearing my tuxedo tonight so I'm James Bond!! It's the Captain's Farewell Dinner so our favorite, beef Wellington, is on the menu. I'll probably have some escargot first. We would like to see tonight's show at 9:30 featuring "Five O'Clock Somewhere", a guy & gal duo. We enjoyed their first show.
