DAY 120-AT SEA

Our position at noon today is still heading west across the Atlantic Ocean.  We have partially cloudy skies with some passing showers and a temperature of 77F.  Unfortunately, we have a 30 knot wind from west-northwest (basically a head wind) causing us to be experiencing up to 14 foot swells from the west.  It was smoother last night and earlier this morning but now the swells are increasing again. The Captain said the wind and swells will probably be increasing this afternoon, tonight, and tomorrow.  YUK!!  The ocean depth is 13,000 feet.

WHAT WE DID LAST NIGHT:
We really enjoyed cocktails and dinner with John & Cathy Begg from Southern California and our long time good friend, Bobby Arvon.  Bobby just came on board in Funchal and is a great headliner entertainer.  His first show will be tonight.  Bobby is sitting next to Rebecca in this photo.
Bobby is best known for his singing of the theme for the old TV comedy series, "Happy Days" but he has also played Vegas and Atlantic City show rooms.  The past several years he has been a headliner entertainer on cruise ships, especially Royal Caribbean.  Rebecca and I requested Regent book him for this cruise and they did.  Thanks Regent!  With the way the ship is rocking and rolling, I hope can do the show tonight.
After dinner we all went to see the headliner show featuring the comedy of Vacov Smirnoff.  What a great show!  His parents and Vacov immigrated to the US some 40 years ago from the old Soviet Union.  He is now a proud American citizen and made a lot of jokes about how life was in the USSR.  I believe I told you in yesterday's post about all the movies, TV series, Vegas, and Branson gigs he has done.

WHAT WE DID TODAY:
One thing for sure, we will not be watching the Kentucky Derby here on the ship.  Regent is too cheap to pay to televise it.  Looks like the track is going to very muddy!
Despite the ship's rocking, we both got our workouts in this morning and now waiting for our room service lunch.  I packed one suitcase this afternoon.  We have 7 more large suitcases to get packed prior to Miami.
This evening we will be having cocktails and dinner with our Canadian friends, Pam & Charlie Montgomery.  Of course, after dinner we will be going to Bobby's show.  Very rough seas now so hope he can do the show without getting hurt.
