DAY 117-AT SEA

Our position today at noon.  The Atlantic Ocean is 13,000 feet deep here and we have some small swells but the ride is pretty good so far.  There is a high thin layer of clouds and the temperature is 73F.

WHAT WE DID TODAY:
The chef is preparing a Portuguese lunch up on the pool deck today.  This is some seafood stew.  Looks great but I opted for some really tender slices of pork that I made a sandwich with.  Rebecca had another protein bar for her lunch.
Prior to working out this morning we went to the shops on board to do some shopping.  They had 75% off all the world cruise logo stuff.  We bought 3 polo shirts at $10 each, 2 T-shirts at $6 each, a cap at $6, and 2 coffee mugs at $3 each.  Great deal!!
Got an email this morning from my sister (she wrote it last night) saying that they were going to give my dad an EKG and xrays early this morning and are planning on discharging him around noon time if all check out ok.  He did go home!!
Watched a silly movie this afternoon.  There's not much good to pick from on Regent TV.  I just got back from the on board Cruise Consultant and made deposit on a "future" cruise.  We don't know where we want or when we want to take our next cruise.  Now we have two years to decide or can get our deposit back at any time if we decide not to cruise.  We are actually waiting for the 2020 World Cruise itinerary to come out later this year.  Would like to do it IF itinerary is good.
This evening we are meeting with the Fitzgeralds and Davis's for cocktail hour and the dinner in Compass Rose.  Tonight's headliner show features the return for a second show with the singer, Helen Wilding.  She is a very attractive young lady but I thought she was just a average singer at best.  I suspect she and the concert pianist will be leaving the ship tomorrow as two new entertainers are coming on board including our headliner good friend, Bobby Arvon.
The swells are getting bigger this afternoon just as our Captain forecast during his noon PA.  We will be docking in Funchal on the lovely island of Madiera tomorrow morning at 8:00 am.  Weather forecast is for some rain possible during the morning hours.  We are scheduled to do a tour but may cancel if it is raining.

This could be yours for only $20 million.  It was in mint condition for selling.  Believe it was built in 1931.
Preparing for the deck BBQ Under the Stars last night.  We dined down in Compass Rose however.

                            Theme was 50's diner attire.
                                      Chef Michael was busy
