DAY 113-Mediterranean Ocean

Our position at 1:00 pm today was just passing by Cartagena, Spain.

WHAT WE DID TODAY:
Smooth sailing today off the coast of Spain & Algeria in the Alboran Sea.  It is a cloudy day but a bit warmer with temperature in mid 60's.
Jamie, our cruise director, is holding a "White Elephant" sale at 3:00 pm.  Here is a partial list of items to be auctioned off.  All the money will be going to crew's social and activity fund.  Back on our 2010 world cruise, we bought dinner with 4 crew members.  I might be bidding on the items marked with orange.

Just back from the White Elephant sale.  They had about twice the number of items listed above. Jamie is auctioning Mexican dinner for 6 passengers with Daniela (Exec Concierge from Mexico) and the Head Housekeeper, Anne, in the above photo.  Daniela in photo.  They raised over $30,000 for the crew fund today.  It was lots of fun!!

This evening I requested a fried seafood platter be prepared for us and Susanne.  Items on it should be french fried soft shell crabs, shrimp, scallops, and calamari.  The headliner show tonight features a concert pianist from Turkey, Naki Ataman.  I'm not big on pianists but may give him a try.
We will be docking at 8:00 am tomorrow in Gibraltar.
