Same as Rome, we have been here several times as a lot of European cruises start or end here. In fact it is the #1 cruise port in Europe and 4th in the whole world. Barcelona is located on the southeast coast of Spain just across the border with France. It is Spain’s second largest city with 1.6 million people. It really is an amazing city to see as a tourist. It is a modern city with many neat old cathedrals and architecture.
We both decided to cancel our tour today and just stay on board the Navigator. Worked out this morning and after lunch I have been working on our income taxes. Got all I can do from ship so may be nap time. Went up on top deck to get a few photos. Putting link to our 2013 visit here so you can see downtown Barcelona.
Bridge from cruise ship piers back over to road into town.
Fort overlooking the harbor
Receiving a lot of provisions today.
The drug sniffing dog has to check each pallet prior to loading.I see lots of beer and toilet paper. Two staples of cruising!!
We will be sailing at 6:00 pm and will be at sea tomorrow enroute to Gibraltar, our next port. Here is the link to my 2013 photos in Barcelona. https://goo.gl/photos/9fS82WNXh6qNiXe97
