TAHITI PHOTOS

Photos taken yesterday in Tahiti.  Ship's internet was not working well.  The General Manager told me today that they had to switch to another satellite.  Today it is working normally.  Normal for the ship, I should say.   Click on them to enlarge them.
View from our ship at dock right by downtown Papeete.

This is the Arcadia.  I believe it is British.

Band greeting the passengers as we left ship.

Lorenzo, maitre'd in Sette Mari, had some neat "wheels".
They were power washing off the anchor.
These photos are of the huge market located just a couple blocks from the pier.

The flower arrangements cost $15.

Sorry, no tour today.  There will be one tomorrow in Bora Bora.

WHAT WE DID LAST NIGHT:
I took some photos of them setting up for "Dinner Under the Stars" last night.  It is amazing to watch them.  It really is beautiful at night time.  A lot of hard work goes into this.  It takes them like 3 hours of work to set all this up but only takes less than 30 minutes to take down and put pool deck back in order.  We prefer not to dine in the heat (although it was not that hot after the sun went down) so have never dined under the stars.
Last night we dined in Compass Rose, which was mostly empty.  Brandi Chapman, our friend who just came on board, joined us.  Her first show will be tomorrow night after leaving Bora Bora.  We are really looking forward to seeing her perform again.  It has been a few years since seeing her so we had a lot to catch up on at dinner.  We will dine with her again the night after her show.  I have requested Chef Michael prepare one of her favorites, miso sea bass.

This is the local group who performed for us at 6:00 pm, a pre-dinner show.  WOW!  They were fantastic!  The girls could really "shake their booty".  Great hula dancing.
