DAY 36-AT SEA IN SOUTH PACIFIC

Our position at noon today.  We are heading due west at 19 knots for our next destination, Pago Pago on the island of Tutuila which is included in the American Samoa territory.  The temperature today is a warm 88 degrees and 75% humidity.  Winds 20 knots out of the northwest.  Wave height today is 6 to 8 feet so we are enjoying a good ride.  There are some clouds but still lots of sun for the folks up on pool deck wanting skin cancers.

WHAT WE DID LAST NIGHT:
Brandi Chapman, Mary Wheeler and Susanne Peters joined us for cocktails up in the Galileo Lounge followed by dinner in Compass Rose.  We all enjoyed the miso sea bass and some great conversation.  After dinner we adjourned to the theater to see the pickpocket.  He was pretty good and it is scary how easy it is for the pickpockets in all the major tourist cities we visit can take rip you off. We set our clocks back another hour last night so gained an hour extra sleep.

WHAT WE DID TODAY:
Rebecca woke me up at 6:45 this morning coughing.  So we just got up and started the day.  She does not cough as much when upright.  My routine lately is to bring my laptop to the coffee connection/Navigator Lounge for a cup of freshly brewed coffee and a muffin.  I had some photos to put on Google Photos (the "cloud") and check emails.  Rebecca has room service and then goes to fitness center for the treadmill.
We both had protein bars for our lunch today and I returned to Navigator Lounge to balance my checkbook, check my Fidelity account (I do this after market close every Friday), and work on today's blog posting.
We scheduled some dinner dates with friends for next week.  It is a short week as we will be going to bed on Saturday night and will waking up on Monday morning.  Yes, NO Sunday!!  We will cross the International Date Line and will lose a day.  Weird but true.
I am planning to go to a lecture this afternoon as topic is "What is cloud storage and how to use it".  Good possibility for me to learn something.
We plan on going to see tonight's headliner entertainer, George Kamikawa, at 9:30 in the theater. He is from Japan but now lives in Australia.  His bio says he is a one man band playing guitar, drums, and harmonica at the same time.  He was a finalist on Australia's Got Talent show.

This gentleman is Tom Snedeker from Pompano Beach, Florida.  He is a spry 102 years old.  His suite is just down the hallway from us.  He gets around with his walker and can walk just as fast as anyone.  His mind is sharp as a tack too.  He likes to flirt with the young, female crew members.  One evening we rode the elevator with him and he was flirting with Rebecca.  To say he is a character is an understatement.  He travels by himself and goes on tours in about every port too.  I had a chat with him one day in the Navigator Lounge.  I was wearing one of my Air Force t-shirts so he asked if I had been in the air force.  I said, yes, during the Viet Nam War.  He said he enlisted in the Navy in 1942. He likes to enjoy a drink at the bar most mornings and again in afternoon.  May be his health secret!!
I believe is has already booked the world cruise for next year.  Amazing man!!

Ok, sorry not many photos today but I will be doing a tour tomorrow in Pago Pago.  Brandi's second, and last, show will be tomorrow night.  She's flying back home when we get to Fiji.
